NY-26 news... looks like Corwin has moved to Impound paper ballots
According to my local http://www.wgrz.com/news/article/122464/413/Corwin-Moves-to-Impound-Votes-No-Certification-Until-Thursday">news , the Corwin camp has already taken steps to block the certification of any results until at least Thursday.
BUFFALO, N.Y. - The lawyer for the Republican Candidate in the 26th District Congressional race confirms the camp has made a move to impound paper ballots.

The court order was granted by State Supreme Court Justice Russell Buscaglia.

It calls for all voting equipment to be impounded, as well as the paper ballots from the voting machines as well as the military, overseas and absentee ballots.

The move means there will not be a certified winner in the race until Thursday morning at the earliest.

The Rochester Democrat & Chronicle reports that "Securing the ballots is a common practice in close races."

There were 6,224 absentee ballots requested in this election, that includes military ballots, but not affidavit ballots given at polling places for voters who are not on the list. Due to the court order, those ballots cannot be counted tonight.

does this mean the vote is not going to go in corwin's favor and she already knows it? i voted this afternoon and there were a few cars there when I got there. there was no line mind you. a few people were coming out and when i left a couple were coming in. I am curious to see what the turnout is for this special election.

1. How close is it?
So, The American People are speaking again and they don't wanna hear it because it's Not "their reality? Man, the pubs cannot handle the truth and reality as the rest of us know it. They have so far removed themselves from both that I'm not sure they can find their way back.

2. I'm just wondering how many uncounted ballots
the Republican clerk will "find". Just enough to win the election, I'm sure.

3. I think this probably just means it is expected to be close, and if the polls are correct, it
will in fact be close. We always hope in these cases that the recounts are done correctly and that there isn't any tampering by anyone who wants to subvert democracy. It is very important for the health of our democratic process that we citizens feel the elections are fair and the results accurate.

5. i just find it interesting that she's doing this. it means that a red district
that was redder than red is now up in the air. and they can blame it on jack davis all they want. i say it is more because of paul ryan. or maybe jane corwin herself. she ran a bad campaign full of negative ads from day one. i never saw a positive ad from her with what she stood for or would do. and then she did robocalls from mark rubio and pat boone i guess. i think it's better to preserve a fair election, but the fact that were the rolls reverse the republicans would be screaming for the dem to give up and walk away just makes me shake my head when they do this. that's all. i'm glad it's close. chris lee walked away with 75% of the vote last time. uggh. i am so glad it's at least close.

4. Are they trying to lock up the seat so the winner can't be sworn in for votes? n/t
