10. That's exactly it. Why live somewhere where it's vaguely spring or fall all year?
Besides, that's why we don't have termites. Or kudzu.

12. I love MN! Lived there for 15 years in the Chippewa National Forest.
It was great. The weather could be a challenge but is was also invigorating. There severe cold bothered me in that I worried about mechanical failure, i.e., furnace, auto, etc. But my Hondas always started on the first turn although the Prelude could be difficult to shift and I frostbit both gloved hands from the steering wheel driving ten or so miles into town....now when I'm in cold weather my hands are the first 'to go' but they just remind me of those days so, all is well.

I loved to go outside on a cold winter's night and just listen. If there was a slight wind and the trees branches were iced, the tingling sound was phenomenal....like an grand orchestra!

If the humidity was low the extreme cold wasn't nearly as daunting as it may sound. I long for those days because they were the happiest of my life. imho

At work it is -20 to -30 for two moths at a time with it dropping to -50 for about a week in January. That is not including wind chill. Stay warm. :)

16. Sigh... a menopausal woman's dream.
LOL... sorry for the folks in Babbitt, but, at Thanksgiving in Knoxville, TN, it was 55 degrees (it's about 25 now, for some odd reason) and I was BURNING THE FUCK UP watching people eat. I can't eat when it's 85 in the house from the stove and only slightly cooler outside when I try to go outside and catch some cool.
