Norman Goldman on the radio, said the R's don't want to
actually be president. That would require work. They're running to get name recognition and to promote themselves and their products, which might explain Newt. Palin has used her media spotlight (free media) to great advantage.

So, does that make the R debate an infomercial.

1. It is to their advantage to have a Democratic President and they
control both Houses of Congress. They can force
their RW Agenda and the Democratic President gets
the blame or credit. They get their agenda and
that is of utmost importance.

8. I think Goldman has a good point.
Didn't Gingrish's staff quit because they didn't want to be just hawking his personal sales paraphernalia?

2. They are positioning themselves for 2016, making as much money as possible,
building name recognition and scamming the American people! Charlatans!!

3. I have to agree

Besides, from a party standpoint the GOP always seems to get much of what they want when a Democrat is President, so why would they want to be the party in charge should their own ideas not work?

4. The debate is a giant RW talking-point fritatta, without any kind of
actual specifics being proposed in terms of any solution to America's problems, so I'd say that Norman makes a great point!

5. Running for POTUS has become something of a business..
Palin is raking in the big bux and she's not even "running for president" yet, if ever.

Das Noot is definitely in that category too, he'll be on the Wingnut Welfare circuit making speeches for years more from his little presidential foray this time.

6. And the media follows that stupid bus around
as if it were in a grudge match with sliced bread (two yeast infections for the price of one).
