PDA Kicks off Campaign to End Corporate Rule
From:
WASHINGTON - June 21 - Today, Progressive Democrats of America (PDA) launched the Campaign to End Corporate Rule. Its mission states:

The Campaign to End Corporate Rule exists to influence budget debates, election outcomes, public policy and other achievable short-term, mid-term and long-term objectives to restore democratic balance and end corporate dominance in our society.

Corporate welfare will be a main theme of the campaign, beginning with the Medicare Part D prohibition on negotiating prices of bulk medicine purchases, which could save hundreds of billions of taxpayer dollars in a decade—easily a trillion dollars over two decades—if eliminated. The campaign is asking taxpayers to sign a petition asking Congress to close the no-negotiation loophole.

"Time and again, whether we are seeking sensible healthcare, environmental, economic, or foreign policy supported by a majority of Americans, we are stifled because corporate lobbyists and donors have managed to get between us and our legislators," said Tim Carpenter, PDA national director.

6. Hi Hoot: I notice that few people have picked up on this ALL IMPORTANT POST of yours.
It's a shame to let it die down!! Most people probably wouldn't recognize the great opportunity
being suggested at first glance.

Finally someone - The Director of Progressive Democrats of America - is asking that we all join
together to fight against Corporate America that has brought our nation to the abyss of chaos and
ruin -- all for its own personal profit.

I couldn't find the LINK in the OP. It's the word "From" at the top left corner, just above the in-set.
Click it, there is more information.

PDA suggests that we start by taking definite steps on important areas, such as Medicare...etc...

We have a long and difficult road ahead of us, but we've got to start somewhere. Just remember
the old adage: The journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step.

Come on DUers, let's join together and do whatever we are capable of doing. This is for America --
for us and for our kids!
