GOP can't block recess appointment of Elizabeth Warren. |
|
David Arkush of Public Citizen has written a letter to Pres. Obama informing him with citations from the Constitution of the U.S. that the GOP cannot prevent him from appointing anyone to any office during the coming recess. I sure hope David Arkush is correct: http://www.readersupportednews.org/opinion2/277-75/6351-gop-cant-block-recess-appointment-of-elizabeth-warren

6. She could become a "bargain chip" only if Obama falls for it. The main point is if |
|
David Arkush is correct. But, isn't Obama supposed to know? Wasn't he teaching Constitutional Law?

3. But the question remains: Will the President have the stones (or the will) to do it? |
|
I'll believe it when I see it.

15. There is a rumor -- and it is just that AFAIC -- that Obama is irked at Warren |
|
for being something of a publicity seeker. I don't understand that, but my source is pretty good... I can't see that, but perhaps I have rose colored glasses when it comes to Warren. I just love her. And even if she is a publicity seeker, she's the best kind. She's doing this for the public good, IMHO.
Ah, the world of Washington politics...

16. And if the rumors are true, getting publicity might be a way for her to |
|
carry her ideas through into success.

5. So if The President can prevent GOP from blocking adjornment - this is great! |
|
The last time there was supposed to be a 'recess' the GOP blocked adjournment and the Senate had to go into 'pro-forma session' instead.

will not appoint anyone to regulate the banksters of whom the banksters do not approve.
That is all there is to it.

11. Could he be THAT afraid of the banksters? I hope he will pull through |
|
this time -- if David Arkush's information is accurate.

9. Hi Scuba, I think if you wrote a separate thread you'd have more readers, and |
|
also more signatures for the petition.
