Is it possible for government officials to damage national security? |
|
I would think a corrupt person on the inside could do more damage than an outsider like Assange. Evidently I'm wrong because Bush went on a book tour while the DOJ worried about Wikileaks.

The politicians are right. They are great. Wikileaks is the enemy.

It might have meant something, but I think secrecy is part of the enemy.

6. 'Government officials' chose to |
|
take us to war in Afghanistan and Iraq. Because of this our image has certainly been damaged in the eyes of the more moderate segment of the Muslim population world wide. We have given them reason to question our motives and this will most assuredly damage our national security in the long term. Our actions have only served to reinforce the words of extremists that wish to do us harm.
So yes, government officials can certainly damage national security.

The existence of a bureaucracy ensures that some low-level, relatively low-paid, possibly dissatisfied- or *gasp* activist- personnel will handle the information at some point in time.

13. 2 wars created by government officials and continued by a new batch |
|
of government officials are greatly damaging our national security.
That would make the answer yes.
