4. THe first is first for a reason |
|
All of the Constitution is important but the First Amendment is the bedrock upon which the whole thing turns.
And there is a reason why the Second Amendment is in there, and in that place.
The Founding Fathers figured a disarmed population would be unable to enforce the First.

2. I didn't have one in particular in mind, just so everyone knows. |
|
I really was just asking.

3. Pulling out any of the combinations other than the 2nd, |
|
our democratic republic collapses. That indeed is what has happened along with the shock doctrine implementation still underway.

That the people have a Right to mass and to bear arms; that a well regulated militia composed of the Body of the people, trained to arms, is the proper natural and safe defense of a free State..."
- George Mason
If we can't defend a free state, we can surely lost it, no matter how many amendments are written on paper.

8. I don't think any of the amendments could |
|
survive without the enforcement of the other amendments. We have seen the government make a mockery of most of the Bill of Rights at some time or the other; and an erosion of the rights in one amendment affects those rights in other amendments as well. However, if I had to choose the ones that are more important, I would say they are the First, Second, Fourth, and Ninth. I would have to say that the First amendment would rank as the "most important" of those, but it only wins by a nose.

9. The real power is how all the Amendments work together. |
|
Lose one or weaken the power of one and they all suffer.
