1. One of the bravest people in that room was Ginger Littleton, a mere girl!
Edited on Wed Dec-15-10 10:42 AM by QC
(:sarcasm:)

She went after the shooter with her purse while most of the men in the room cowered and trembled.

If he said weakling, wimp, coward I don't think folks here would get in an uproar...

20. I would have been scared to death, but Ms. Littleton was not, God love her.
The point, which you missed in your eagerness to attack someone, was the offensive homophobic bravado by this idiot who wants us all to know that he might not have lifted a finger to help anyone, but that's certainly not because he's a homosexual.

21. The point you may have been trying to make was lost when YOU wrote,
"most of the men in the room cowered and trembled."

YOU called into question the bravery of the male school board members.

I think anyone with half a brain would tremble when a loaded handgun is pointed at them.

Also, while it IS sometimes used as a euphemistic slur against homosexuals, pansy is not exclusively a homophobic word. Webster defines it in one sense to denote "a weak or effeminate boy." Obviously, many most homosexuals are neither weak nor effeminate, so I don't know why it would automatically be assumed to mean homosexual.

Would you be as concerned if the guy had said "wussy"?

22. "Pansy" is a longtime homophobic slur. Misogynistic, too.
What the man said was stupid and hateful, and it is a mystery to me why you are so eager to defend it.

The circle/v was the tag/symbol of the masked anti-hero in that film.

14. Hoo boy. Another nut. People: movies aren't real.
I wish people would figure that out before grabbing a firearm.

I haven't seen that flick. If it inspires this kind of nutbaggery, I probably don't want to.

18. As you said, movies aren't real
I like the film. However, I am still possess the ability to discern between an idealized portrayal of rebellion versus the very real consequences of violence. Films don't make people do anything. Inspiration is not action.
