The way I see it... every time he has given up ground to the Right,
the Republicans have given up exactly the same ground.

1. Very true. It is POISON to the republicon base if repukes are caught
agreeing with President Barrack Hussein Obama on ANYTHING. He is moving them further to the right as he moves to the middle (where the american electorate happens to be!!!!!!!!), and putting himself in an excellent spot for re-election. Hopefully, with his re-election, we will get some seats back from the repukes. But as long as the left keeps demonizing our President, many dem voters will be discouraged from voting.. which means more republicon control.

6. Not blindly! But why continue to take the focus off of what he repukes stand for
and continually ignoring all the good that President Obama has done for this nation and AGAINST ALL ODDS! He's climbed a friggin' MOUNTAIN and the left keeps complaining that it isn't high enough. BAH!!

10. It's the stupidest political move in US history and it is doomed to fail
The republicans that Obama is playing footsies with now will be seated at the prosecutors table in a year or so.

3. that is simply not true
Not funny since it has no ring of truth.

Who is trying to spread this falsehood.

all you have to do is look at it from a Republican's point of view. They "caved" too.

4. totally!
They conceded 3 months more unemployment insurance! That was REALLY hard for them!

I mean, remember that Senator from Kentucky that was blocking it earlier this year? It was SO RUDE of us to shame him in the media into conceding. We probably should have "compromised" from our side to thank him for his help... we could have done a bank bailout... or sat on DADT until it was too late... or... er... wait...

7. So they conceded, didn't they?
You do understand how much they are against any unemployment insurance by the government at all?

Try looking at it from their view.

When you care more about beating Republicans at something than for the unemployed people, it says something. It says you'd feel much better if you read some Right wing sites. Then you'd see how much we have "won" and what we have shoved down their poor throats. And then you'd feel better. Because it's all about winning.

9. I know! You are totally right.
It was WICKED hard for them to extend UI! And would have resulted in ZERO political pressure from or accountability to their constituents. I mean when you think about it, unemployment leads to homelessness, and as we all know, homeless people don't/can't vote. suckers.

11. "vote 'em all out for not being as far left as I am--that'll teach 'em"
That's all this board has been about for the last 2 years.

So WTF are you whining about? You got your wish...the center left dems got the boot in middle America just like everyone here was circle jerking for. Of course the farther to the right than idi amin reps jumped in their place...but that totally wasn't your fault or anything :eyes:

Don't blame the WH for responding to the shift in congressional power...you all helped to make it happen.

All of a sudden, we're supposed to learn from conservatives' feelings about "reality"?
