Weakness invites predation. |

I was watching a strange film earlier today entitled "The Addiction." It was an early film with a strange small role played by Christopher Walken. A weird mishmash of philosophical gibberish, drug addiction, and vampirism. That aside, it seemed to me that the main characters who embodied evilness blamed their victims for not standing up forcefully to them at the point of being victimized. They would demand that the potential victim tell them to go away in a forceful voice. Begging or requesting politely only resulted in the victim having his or her life's blood sucked out of them.
I suppose the only point in bringing this up for me is that a couple of things stuck out to me: 1) What a metaphor this is for the current political and economic events this is, 2) got me to thinking about what the addictions of the predators might be, and 3)that a degree in Philosophy is a colossal waste of money.

You can't beat Christopher Walken for cool weirdness. Except maybe Crispin Glover. http://www.funnyordie.com/videos/a8db7b63e3/crispin-glover-clowny-clown-clown
