Anyone? The gum grab scam, the rumors that this Administration was going to take their guns, Sarah Palin, 'Fraud" Paul, Glenn Beck, all of the hate, and all of the guns being displayed warning us that we were targets.

Twelve innocents killed or wounded because of the hate.

Even the timing gives them the advantage on the news cycle.

Any public figure is vulnerable, and during many administrations we've heard reports of truly frightening threats, but I've always believed Obama faced a particular danger, partly because of his race, partly because of his party, and partly because of the level of division and acrimony in this nation.

9. Of course we all knew this was going to happen

but Rep. Giffords isn't high profile enough to force a crackdown on hate radio.

Eventually a high profile person will be killed by one of the teaklanners and then we'll see a bit of action on that front.

Hate radio is dangerous. It's what started both Rwanda and Bosnia.
