Luke Russert finally wins my admiration by pointing toward the rancour around the health care debate
as contributing to the political climate and stating that we should be expecting calls for political leaders on both side to call for an end to this sort of violence.

1. True... It was good to mention how incensed the right is about "Obamacare"

He also mentioned how everyone was "shocked" by this incident.

I wonder if they felt "shock" when a politician speaks about "taking their country back" and "2nd ammendment solutions to failed elections". Were they "shocked" when a guitar has been stands on a stage and screams that Hillary "can suck my machine gun"? How "shocking" is it to see protesters at a political rally slinging an AR-15 over their shoulder and sidearms at the ready?

I would think after a while the "shock" would morph into "sounds about right".

As an aside, and political differences notwithstanding, what kind of man would walk up to an unarmed 40 year old woman and shoot her in the head, then proceed to empty his gun into innocents that include a child? What a coward. Today should have been the last day he's allowed to see the sun in a blue sky.

3. I think it is time for the public to DEMAND that the Republicans
and the 'baggers get these people in line and to denounce the heated rhetoric and threats of violence. It is also time for Justice to start prosecuting those who would make these type of threats and/or act on them.
