Grijalva calls for greater security for members of Congress

Rep. Raul Grijalva (D), Rep. Gabrielle Giffords' colleague in Arizona, is calling for more security for members of Congress.

The congressman, who received death threats during the last Congress, told KVOA that he and other members are in a state of shock. He said members of Congress, including Rep. Mike Honda (D-Calif.), have contacted him since news of the shooting of Giffords broke.

Grijalva said it is important that lawmakers are in constant contact with their constituents, but added that changes need to be made on security issues for lawmakers.

Asked what he would change, Grijalva responded, "I would certainly insist on more security... (so) we can make sure this doesn't happen again."

1. He said something like this might happen. He warned us.
I remember when he appeared on Countdown. His interview was a bit chilling. That's likely the reason Keith decided to do what he could to help the Grijalva's campaign financially.

BTW, looks like Keith is going to air an episode of Countdown tonight @ 8 PM EST/ 7 PM CST.
