Don't separate this tragedy from the Tea Party |
|
I just watched the clip of Rep. Giffords from March of last year. This is not a random incident. The Tea Party had been targeting Rep. Giffords for months and one of their lunatics finally took action. I feel nothing but hate and disgust for the Tea Party right now. I hope the media will stop propping up this irrelevant movement of dangerous psychos once and for all.

Giffords has constantly received death threats from the right wing. Sarah Palin's PAC created a rather interesting map using violent language and graphics to express the need to 'eliminate' certain politicians, with Giffords being one off those in the crosshairs. I don't give a fuck if this was a lone gunman without any political persuasion. The Tea Party and it's supporters need to take a long, cold, hard look at what kind of shit they're putting out. There are mentally unstable persons in our society that will see this garbage and attach it to their own agenda.

6. I think Gary Hart is right.. |

the level of inflammatory political rhetoric contributes to a culture of anger, hatred and violence and can incite the mentally disturbed.
I don't think there is any evidence the shooter was a teabagger, though, or that he could even comprehend reality enough to form coherent political views.

9. Tucson Local Hate Radio |
|
I live in Tucson, and the local "hate radio morning jock" on clear channel station 790 KNST has been whining and complaining about our dear congresswoman Gabby Giffords for months. He even had "Goodbye Gabby" signs made for his listeners to bring with them at her reelection rallies this past Summer/Fall. I can only guess it is because she had a "D" beside her name. This punk's name is Garret Lewis, who migrated to Tucson from a Waco, Texas radio station about a year ago. The hatred he spews is toxic. I used to occasionally listen to "Tea Party radio, or as I refer to it, "redneck radio"" to keep tabs on the opposition, but I shut him off months ago. I plan to let as many news sources ( ie CNN )as possible know about this creep, and light a fire up his ass.
