7. Wasn't it Gore who said that? I remember the SNL skits about

the Gore/Bush debates, and the Gore impersonator was always using the Social Security "lock box" line. Of coruse, he was regularly mocked for it--because any logical, sensible ideas are always mocked by the conventional wisdom.
