Look, guys, I'm a kind and generous person. I sat through the atrocity that is "Atlas Shrugged Part 1 and Final" so I could edify and amuse you, and allow you to avoid making a terrible mistake by parting with a $10 bill to see that shitty movie instead of using it for something constructive, like a gallon of gas.

However, fair is fair and I am NOT going to see the Sarah Palin movie. One of you has to do it, so someone break out the "hey you" roster and pick a DUer to suffer for the rest of us.

for how long. But gee, sure wish I could take over for you, jmowreader. We appreciate your death-defying foray into the den for Atlas. :headbang:

8. Unless it's titled "Sarah Palin: Live From Reactor No. 3" I must take a pass....
For health reasons.

10. I still have to read "Decision Points" by Bush. So I'm already taking one for the team.
My step-daughter gave it to me for X-mas and I'm only up to the 2nd chapter so far.

12. A 4 letter "F" word description:
FLOP

It's opening in only 12 theatres. Lucky me, one of the movie houses is only about six miles from me, so the local reporters will be covering it...over and over. I don't plan to see it until Red Box rolls it out for a buck. That should be a short wait.

Even the director sounds like he isn't expecting much:

"At the preview screening of “The Undefeated,” the Sarah Palin bio-documentary that I caught at the AMC 24 at Downtown Disney last week, organizers for this “opinion leaders” showing shared a little of the release strategy for the film.

They’re looking to get folks to round up friends who share their politics to go see the film the opening weekend with a goal of “12,000 tickets sold” that first weekend.

That’s 1,200 tickets per theater, since the film is opening in only 10 theaters nationwide including the AMC Universal Citywalk. And that breaks down to about 100 tickets per showing. Rounding up the ticket prices, they’re hoping the film does about $12,000 per screen per city.

<snip>

...will be heavily reliant on the Tea Party crowd that treats Palin as an icon, if the gathering of opinion leaders I saw the film with was any indication. The average age was older — 60ish, though there were some younger folks there. And the crowd was all-white. Very much the “Atlas Shrugged” demographic, in other words."

14. Ugh...Citywalk?
God, I hate going to L.A. to see a movie. Especially when you pass 50 other movie houses along the way.

Probably have to skip this one.

13. I would, but the nearest theater is 3 hours away.
And to drive 6 hours to be tortured for -- how long is the movie anyway? No, it would just be too much. So sorry.
