There is no leeway and there is no compromise that will gain my support. If a race comes down to a Democrat and a Republican and the Democrat was in favor of cutting these programs and/or not raising taxes, I will not vote. When you buy house insurance, do you demand all of your money back when it doesn't burn down and you've sold it?

People who have income over a certain amount should have their SS taxed....they don't need it. They should be jumping up and down and be happy that they don't need it.

No one can predict the future. No one knows if they'll truly need SS when they are old. It's INSURANCE!
