Jan Brewer AZ gov. retains a slave laborer kid after clemency board votes to release.
Mother pleads for help after son denied clemency by Gov. Brewer

About a year ago 18-year-old Cayce Townsend shot a gun at an empty car and got a five year prison sentence for the crime.

The judge who sent him there didn't agree with the sentence the law forced him to impose and wrote in his report, "The term will serve mostly to institutionalize and make him more dangerous once he's released."

Judge John Hannah sent the case to the Arizona Board of Executive Clemency, which unanimously voted that Thompson's sentence be commuted to time served.

But ultimately, Brewer decides who stays behind bars and who is let free early.

1. Why did he shoot an empty car?
Did he think someone was in there? Don't we need to know more?

5. Who cares? It's totally irrelevant to the OP.
And for what it's worth, if the house was legally condemned and destined to be burned for firefighter practice, and the bomber worked for a volunteer fire department, then yes, there's a fairly good chance that they get off. It depends on the specifics, after all. Maybe the car was threatening to mug him. People shoot random stuff in self-defense way too often.

6. Jan Brewer lets him out, private prison buds would lose money!
and we certainly wouldn't want that to happen would we. The US has over 2 mn in prisons costing us $52,000-$72,000 each per year. She is a murderer, why would anyone think she has a bone of mercy in her body? She does not.
