Sometimes it is better to let the Wolf be the Wolf... sooner rather than later....
You will recall that the wolf in sheep's clothing was successful because he fooled his prey by his appearances and actions. Had the wolf acted like a wolf without the ruse of sheep's clothing, the great majority of the sheep would have been stirred to action and likely would have survived.

Have no illusions, the Wolf is always the Wolf, and feigned negotiation by the Wolf just perpetuates the ruse of 'sheep's clothing.' We should not be mislead into thinking that we are gaining concessions from the Wolf just because we are involved in negotiations with the Wolf. The Wolf will accept nothing less than adoption of the Wolf's ultimate goals.

1. I often prefer wolves to humans.
Perhaps if humans weren't so caught up in being sheep, they'd see the wolf in a different light.

Having kept sheep, I can say that they are some of the stupidest mammals on the planet. I've got one out in the barn right now that thinks she is a horse. Makes you wonder about all of those biblical metaphors about flocks. Does organized religion need people to be stupid followers, or is the judeo-xtian god simply recognizing and treating humans like they are? Or both?

Wolves have a highly organized social structure. They are smart, patient, and work together for the good of the whole pack.

Humans have a lot to learn from them.

If you need a metaphor for Republicans, conservatives, or neoliberals, try the shark: no social conscience, survival of the fittest.

2. The analogy of the frog boiled alive is applicable here as well...
Will we wake up in time to realize we are being boiled alive?

3. That, too.
I think we're seeing some already dying.

5. Exactly!
Repubs talk about not raising the debt ceiling under Obama, but they raised it 7 times under Bush without complaint.

Repubs ran up the debt, and now they found austerity?
