I'm not so worried about Repukes talking about how to fuck SS. |
|
I am more concerned, and outraged, at Pres. Obama talking about how to fuck SS. That is just a non-starter; and it could lose Obama my vote in 2012.

4. Yeah, I hear ya. I expect this filth from them. NOT from a Democratic president. |
|
BTW, I don't know if you caught it but Coats just finished up with the most effluvial praise for Obama on cutting the SS..."Doing the right thing for the nation."

They are beautiful birds and they perform a valuable ecosystem function. :)

2. Then the problem is the comparison, because ... |
|
Repukes serve no such valuable services.

3. You know what, LOL- I totally agree! Edited! |

I try to impress on my children that all animals serve a vital function in a complex ecosystem and that imbalancing that web puts all of its strands in jeopardy.
I am still imagining him with his head buried in the dead zebra corpse of Social Security, though, just going to town. Just on all fours in his suit, covered in blood from the top of his head to his shoulders, with a few bloody disability cheques in his mouth as he looks up to see where the gasp came from.

to keep the discussion and focus away from the long list of other problems that continue some agenda to which we are not invited or privy, as the big picture suggests.
Hot-button issues, (along with insane amounts of trivial distractions) sure keep the focus myopic and that's a great way to manage a society, methinks.
We have occupations, military budgets, mega-gross inequities, social and economic engineering that is ushered-in with impunity by the corporatist media that functions as a proxy for the wealthpower, (which is, in fact, our wealth and power concentrated into a few hands). We have those who want to maintain access to all resources and are willing to disenfranchise millions or billions of us to the point of scrounging for sustenance.
Apathy to this and distraction from the agendas in progress will not solve anything, nor will it protect anyone from the impending results. In that sense, we are all in this together over time.
