Yes they will cut entitlements, and no we cannot afford them
why is that? We have a dying Empire. Look, we are not talking of Rome... even though that comes to mind all the time...

We are talking of Spain.

Global holdings, check.

Powerful people pushing for Empire, check

When it finally collapsed the common people were poorer for it.

Yep, that is where we are.

We can't afford it

So what are you going to do about it?

MAKE CALLS, but chiefly PLAN on taking to the streets, and I mean that...

1. I hate "entitlements", nad. Sounds as though they're freebie gifts --
I look at SS and Medicare as policies I paid for, and this is like the "insurer" decided to change the coverage after taking my money. I did my part, the insurer needs to do its part.

This, truly, is unforgivable. It's their fault they didn't manage the "premiums" responsible, and it's their responsibility to deliver what they agreed to. But they won't.

We're getting to the tipping point, I agree. I want to see what the final agreement will be. While we're looking at SS and Medicare, they keep chipping away at other things we paid for, too.

2. We COULD take back the money from the people who ran off with it
We COULD get out of the wars (how many is it now?)

But SOMEONE in government would have to be on our side.

3. I explained in another post why getting out of the wars
is not easy... for purely economic reasons. If we retrenched fully tomorrow, without any planning, the economy will collapse. By design... things like the F-35 are made in almost all fifty states.

We need to pull back, we can't afford it, but to avoid a full economic collapse we need to transfer what the MIC does to household electronics...

See what I said about powerful interests. the lords in cadiz were all for Empire as late as 1898... well after losing their colonies in the Americas and only having Cuba and the Philippines. We are at a very similar stage.

4. We run headlong into dumbass american exceptionists.
And they intend to use Israel as a magic talisman. As long as we do Israels bidding, they believe God cannot abandon us. If we just make abortion illegal, kick out all the dark people and put prayer in school, God will save us. An offshoot of Alien saviours.

6. Alas that magical thinking crew is actually fairly small
in the halls of power... Raytheon cares little for israel and actually they have an issue with Israeli Military Industries. It is a direct competitor for the emerging market in CHINA.

5. What we can't afford is the cut to entitlements.
Such cuts are part of our choice to be a dying economy.

8. The point is that we cannot afford the two of them
granted it is short sighted to keep Empire and cut Social Security, but all empires at the end eat the metropolis, why we need to go GREEK on them.

7. No you're wrong as can be...
We CAN afford them, but it's going to mean raising the wage cap which is now at a paltry $106,000. This is your one talking point regarding SS and Medicare. Memorize it. Use it. Repeat it every chance you get.

10. A sovereign government that issues debt in its own fiat currency can always afford its obligations.
What you are saying is nonsense.

11. I am telling you the logic in DC
and you are telling me that the American Empire is not real? Or that Empires in the end eat the metropolis?
