1. LOL! You used "Harry Reid" and "kick some republican ass" in the same sentence. |
|
You meant to say "Harry Reid" and "ass kicked by some Republican."

4. He meant he was going to fight those dangerous, far left New Dealers. |
|
When he said he was going to "fight"- he did not necesarly mean it would be against economic conservatives.

I have no idea what that means, but it is the 1st "powder" that comes to my mind for some reason.
Maybe it was anthrax.

15. It would depend on what his goal is |
|
I assume Reid or any Senator/Congressman could have his/her staff write a speech that Alan Grayson or Weiner, or even the angriest poster here, would have been proud of and gone to the Senate floor and read it with passion. He/she could have called out Republicans by name.
The question is what would that accomplish. You KNOW they need 60 votes. Assuming he can keep his 53 Democrats, they need 7 Republicans. Do you think shouting gets him those 7 (or more)? Is it just possible it makes a very difficult task impossible.

24. Harry just lets the GOP dictate the "Rules" as they go along. |
|
What we have here(in Washington)is a perpetual clusterfuck. Politics trumps the oath they all took after they begged us for their jobs and swore to uphold the Constitution. They are too spoiled and lazy to fight for what's BEST for America. Harry is mainly looking out for Harry, IMHO.

28. The Republicans can filibuster anything - and they are now filibustering everything |
|
He needs 60. The fact is that the Democrats, when they were organized did filibuster - stopping drilling in ANWR twice and passing the enewal of the Patriot act until more improvements were made.
