It is looking like the recent rumors/speculation about O being willing to play with SS & Medicare are turning out to be true.
It is time for us to take preemptive action and let O, the Democratic leadeship, as well as the GOP leadership where we stand on any potential changes. I suggest we take this time to also let them know about our views on taxes (especially closing tax loopholes and increasing taxes on the wealthy), since the two issues are so intertwined.
If you have the time, a handwritten letter mailed to the person will get the most bang for your buck. If that is not possible, a handwritten letter sent via fax is the next best thing. Can't manage that? A phone call to a comment line or DC office is also a good choice. Email should always be the very last option.
Get to work, DUers! This is too important an issue for us to take a wait and see attitude. I, for one, will not stand by and watch
anyone, let alone a Democrat, try to change the social contract we share without a damn fight.
