Republicans should be called Terrorists for their threat to refuse to raise the Debt Ceiling
Edited on Thu Jul-07-11 05:45 PM by DaveofCali
They should be branded for what they are: Terrorists, threatening to bring down the United States economy UNLESS Obama and the Democrats give in to their demands. This is worse than what many other terrorists do around the world.

Of course though, Republicans trying to do everything they can to prevent the economy from improving so that they can bring Obama down is not only bullying, its TREASON. It's a betrayal of a Political Party to its Nation to intentionally harm America and millions of people that will be a victim of it just for an attempt of political gain. This is not the United States of Republicans, it's the United States of America. Republicans don't own this country, and they betray their mandate to govern, purely for political gain.

Republicans should be called out on their terrorism so Americans will know just how crazy the Republican Party is if Americans go into default in August 2nd.

1. I was just going to post the same thing and name them AL QAEDA REPUBLICANS.
They're looking to achieve the exact same goal as Bin Laden - collapse the US economy for their own personal and political gain.

4. They want the default to occur. If they vote to raise the debt ceiling the Teabaggers will
vote them out of office.

18. Yeah, sure...and US banks don't charge fees if you miss your payments, either.
Republicans LOVE their banksters and are looking for MORE ways to rob the middle class to enrich the powerful financial elite. Useful fools help them by catapulting their propaganda on message boards.

14. Who started piling up this debt other than the Bush administration?
Edited on Thu Jul-07-11 05:25 PM by checks-n-balances
Who began his administration with a budget surplus, but ran up record deficits with tax cuts for the wealthy and two unfunded wars?

We are under piles of debt that he started. Do you acknowledge that??

Just reverting back to taxing the upperclass the way it was done in the fifties and sixties would take care of these high deficits.

Oh, and by the way, Social Security and Medicare have not contributed to the deficit, yet they're on the table.

And apparently you are invested in absolving Bush of any responsibility for the crushing debt.

20. Apparently your reading of the Constitution doesn't include the 14th Amendment.
If it did, you might realize that what the Republican House is doing is unconstitutional.

30. I have to agree!
From a recent thread I wrote here:

Economic treason: The definition of "treason" and could Republicans become guilty of this crime?

"Why is not the threat to make the U.S. government default on its debt the equivalent of economic treason? Every time one of the Republicans steps out and threatens to vote no on raising the debt ceiling, is he or she not giving aid and comfort to our enemies?

If a terrorist group boasts it will destroy the U.S. Government by breaking it economically, as the late Osama bin Laden himself repeatedly said he would do, is an American citizen threatening to cast a vote which will prevent the lifting of the current debt ceiling not giving aid and comfort to the enemy?

Keep in mind it is the Republicans themselves who boast that the late Ronald Reagan took down the Soviet Union simply by destroying its economy. By doing so, they imply this technique is an effective but non-violent approach to destroying one's political enemy."

I believe we should be saying this often and very loudly. But most of all, those with a bigger microphone who are suppose to protect our interests should be saying it as well.

and Thank You for saying it.

Sam
