Which fucking politician will suffer some "pain" in this jiggering of priorities? |
|
Which CEO will suffer "pain" at the end of the day because of this false choice between taxes and government spending?
Which stock trader will suffer "pain" because of this "deal"?
Which Hedge fund owner/operator will suffer an ounce of "pain" at the end of this process?
Which mega-church pulpit punk will have to sacrifice anything because of this "deal" they are obviously praying for?
We all know that a 5% cut for a person living on the edge could very well push that person over that edge.
We know that programs that are vital to those who need it most will feel the most "pain" because most are already underfunded.
We know for sure that the troops, oh those beloved troops played lip service by the sunshine patriot crowd, fighting to keep 'merica safe will come home only to see programs for them will be cut.
Let's be honest about this shall we.
The only people who will really suffer are those who can afford no more suffering.
What have we become?
What have we become?

2. You have said it perfectly. |

This sentence really resonates:
The only people who will really suffer are those who can afford no more suffering.
Your despair matches mine, and I no longer know what lies ahead of us.
