If Obama cuts social security and loses the election...
the saddest part is that the Republicans and the mainstream media will take it as proof that the American people agree with their deficit hawk, class warfare on the poor bullshit.

3. I said if, not when.
I'm not jumping anywhere. Seems like unfortunately, all options are on the table.

6. Is what's going on today really preparation? Seems more like aggravation or frustration.

2. As at least one person pointed out yesterday, nomatter which way you cut it....
...putting Social Security on the table for cuts at the behest of Repukes is lose/lose.

It is a millstone they'll be happy to hang around our neck forever.

5. I don't know why Obama is sabotaging his election this way.
Maybe he's no longer interested in the Presidency. Who knows.

13. Agree, but maybe he'll take it off seeing the public outrage
and seeing the polls.

Rachel just said the WaPo thing was a trial balloon, so hopefully he heard the message even louder!

Hell, it's not just him, it's the Republicans, too -- the VAST majority of Americans are vehemently opposed to any Medicare/SS cuts. What is their fucking problem? Do they even KNOW we're out here???????

10. If Obama cuts social security, does it really matter who wins or loses the election?
Edited on Thu Jul-07-11 08:38 PM by roomfullofmirrors
as we'll pretty much end up with a president that doesn't represent the people either way. say hello to plutocracy.
