I think Obama should tell all federal agencies to prepare for default
and not talk to any repukes for about a week. Just leave them out
of the loop, don't take their calls. Maybe go golfing with Bernie Sanders.
Announce that entitlements are off the table and are an issue separate from
the debt ceiling.
I think this would get the attention of the banksters.
In turn the banksters would reign in the loonies.
I say call their bluff.

1. Agree that Wall Street will turn the Repubs around. Call their bluff. Stand tall, Obama.

11. WELL LISTEN PRES OBAMA... COME TO OREGON, I WILL TEACH YOU TO PLAY "CHICKEN"
I was a little kid... and got bullied alot. Now, I don't take crap from anyone. I don't get "in your face swearing" unless something awful is going on but i am sure an assertive woman. I know i could stand up to Boner, Mitchell and that Demon.... Eric Cantor. They would NOT get one word in edgewise with me!!

President Obama, I am sorry to be unkind here... but PLEASE GROW A PAIR!! Hit those crooked GOPigs hard!! You HAVE THE AMERICAN PEOPLE BEHIND YOU!

3. Good strategy, the banksters ain't gonna bo too happy about a default! If Obama
wanted a clever strategy he would have the banksters clean up the teabaggers.

5. I agree. Social Security and Medicare can't be cut while rich people keep
their big tax breaks. That exchange can't happen. I have been and still am a supporter of President Obama, but if he does not get as much back from taking away tax breaks for those that do not need those breaks as he gets from reforming some social programs, the President has lost me, a moderate who is open to a centrist approach to governance. Some compromises are purely unacceptable.

9. I do wish we had some primary candidates, because some of us are
taken for granted IMO. Agree, "Some compromises are purely unacceptable." ... but if we have no primary contenders what do we do then, sit home and let the R's win. Just asking, because if this turns out totally unacceptable, I really have a hard time voting because it's the only choice. ... but I will to keep the R's out. Damn I hate being boxed in ...

10. I have to believe that somebody will step up.
There are people who could do it. Today I even thought of Nancy Pelosi. Somebody will do it.
