27. Actually she herself knows why she is not still Speaker of the House

and said so in two visits to the WH before that election. She was ignored. She would still be Speaker if the Obama administration had not pushed Democrats to vote for 'unpopular legislation's, as Nancy pointed out when she went to the WH to complain about it, and told them that she had gone against the base to support this president's 'unpopular legislation', and knew they would 'pay a price in November' and that every time the president lectured the Republicans he also made a point of lecturing Democrats, and she wanted him to stop doing that.

So, yes, she's probably remembering that. That she pushed Democrats on behalf of this president to 'vote against their beliefs' on the HC Bill. And hopefully she won't make that mistake again considering the thanks she got from the WH last time.

People do not vote for politicians who do not represent them.

Democrats were responsible for the results of that election. Independents especially, stayed home, and those living in Blue Dog districts were not about to vote for people blamed by the Dem. Party for stopping them from passing progressive legislation. They are no loss if we are to believe the Democratic Party.

And if Democrats do the same thing again, we have to assume they want to lose, they want Republicans to win.

Blaming voters is a losing propostion. Real leaders take the blame when they fail and then figure out what they did wrong and fix it. Losers will keep losing if they refuse to take responsibility for what they did.

Nancy Pelosi as I said, knew they were going to lose and she knew why and said so. Hopefully she will not repeat the failed policies that cost them the last election.

Votes are earned, like anything else in this life. No politician should ever assume they own anyone's vote. That was the mistake they made last time.
