Interesting, CNN obliterates FOX when it comes to on-line traffic
Edited on Thu Jul-07-11 10:52 PM by Quixote1818
CNN ranks as the 16th most popular website in the US compared to FOX News which comes in at only 39th. So I am wondering if you go by both Web and TV if CNN beats FOX overall with the world moving to more on-line viewing as apposed to TV? Thoughts?

Also, can anyone tell me what a reach of 2.0000 translates to?

Also, Huffington Post comes in at #24 also beating FOX as well as the Drudge Report which comes in at #86

On Edit: Not that I am a huge fan of CNN but they are layers of cake above FOX.

1. One of the Big Lies is that Fox is popular.
They don' seem to be popular in any numbers they can't fix.

2. Its the demographics that watch the two networks that makes the big difference.
Also the average income / ability to afford internet/computer.

4. Thats a good point
Fox gets the "Over 60" crowd and many of them may not even have computers. This means FOX will continue to go down in ratings on TV.

3. people over 70 don't usually use computers.
And given that a Fox News viewer's median age is about 73, that explains it.

6. Old right-wingers that would be the least likely to be computer
literate are their viewers. As long as it's on 24/7 on their tv, why would they use the computer to watch?

That indicates people don't go to FOX online for news during the work day also. The percentage of younger workers that are FOX fans is relatively low. The same for more highly educated people that could be online checking out news. Some teabagger working at a catfish farm doesn't take a computer news break.

7. Fox viewers generally don't know how to turn their puters on
But they make great door stops and boat anchors.
