I think that hypothetically that somebody like... |

Phil Gramm isn't as bad as Mike Huckabee. You would say I was out of my mind. But let me explain, if somebody like Phil Gramm was running for president, he would at least be honest about who he is. He says it flat out that there is really no recession and that we are a nation of whiners. He at least has the courage to admit that he doesn't give a shit about us. If somebody like Phil Gramm was running for president, he would probably do as bad as Goldwater because he has the charisma of a butler and comes across as a sociopath/scumbag.
With someone like Mike Huckabee running for president, he often gives you the whole folksy bull about how he is a "wal-mart" republican and how he is "I'm just like you." It often hides some of his positions on certain issues that would only surface after the damage is done. It is harder for most voters to "see right through him".

1. DU isn't "most voters"; we've seen through Huckleberry for a long time. |

Are you preaching this to those who really need to hear it?
