If there are any progressive naval gazers out there who can detach themselves from the circle jerk progression of "OMG Obama is such an asshole" diaries that proliferate on dkos tonight like they undoubtedly do at Redstate, they might want to tune in to what the guvner is telling Chris Hayes on "The Last Word With Lawrence O'Donnell" tonight... they will see Dean saying that the president is not such an asshole after all....

6. I watched it live. Why do you disagree with Howard? AFAIK the Pres. didn't

say anything about reducing benefits, and if you try to thik like a Wash. DCer, when he said reducing SS, medicare & medicaid, it well could mean reducing the costs via a number of different methods without reducing benefits at all.
We all tend to think in locgic and hear only the words spoken, but I've learned a long time ago that that's not the way politicians speak. There's a reason everyone keeps saying it's all in the detils.
