Surprise, surprise. On Morning Joe, Howard Dean is 100% supportive of Obama
...and what he is doing with respect to the debt talks.

Heads all over DU exploding as we speak.

4. I love Howard Dean. Came to DU in 2004 because of him.
Any time he agrees with the President, to me, it means the President is doing the right thing.

7. In that case...
I take your meaning is that the President is doing the right thing and DU heads are exploding because there are those who question (in my view correctly) his actions.

Thanks for the clarity...and I'm not being snarky.

10. ROFL
Howard Dean is against the poor and the elderly! Somebody primary Howard Dean from the Left!

The lesson is clear once again: before shouting and screaming, people should try to actually understand what they're shouting and screaming about.

8. His brother Jim disagrees
http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2011/jul/7/obama-deficit-talks-constructive-still-no-deal/">Here:
“Cutting Social Security to reduce the national debt is like attacking Iraq to get Osama bin Laden - the two things are not related,”

Just because Dr. Dean been a solid slightly-right Democrat doesn't mean he's always correct.

11. You have Dr. Dean's picture as your avatar.... stunning
that you would pick a slightly-right Democrat who is in 100% disagreement with you as your avatar.

12. Howard Dean is a politician. Not surprised.
He was lucky that Bush destroyed the country in 2008; which made him look smart as DNC chairman.

He's not as great as many have claimed.

18. I love Dean...except when I disagree with him. Then he's a SELLOUT... until I agree with him again
which will undoubtedly be soon and often again. :)

Differences of opinion on policy matters with people whom I otherwise respect are no longer allowed in my world.

21. And How Does He Do That??
A seriously curious question...

Announce an FDR-style WPA program? And that passes this worthless and poisonous Congress how?
Force corporations to hire? And how is this done? With more tax breaks?
Or raise taxes on corporates and again, those would pass the Congress how?

The government takes way too much credit when the economy is doing well and inversely gets too much blame when it goes south. There's many factors that are depressing this economy and the solutions aren't going to be quick or easy. It took us decades of "trickle down" to get into this hole and there's no quick fix, no one person who can do this. Eventually one hopes the corporates possibly wakes up one day to see their customers broke and then they too will find all that money has no real value. But right now it's every one for themselves...

24. if I could find a clip of this morning's Morning Joe, I'd post it
it was pretty clear and unequivocal to anyone who saw it. That's why Manny Goldstein up above isn't disputing it... He saw it too.

assume you agree with all of his statements, or is it just this one that you like?
