I truly believe that if Democrats pushed through a truly progressive agenda when they were legislatively able to, there would have been a spate of political assassinations along the lines that we saw during the 60's.

talk about abortion doctors like they were murders without ever knowing a single thing about biology and the many real things that can potentially happen to women that is pregnant... then some dick shoots a Dem in the head and they pretend they never did it. The media goes out of the way to say these don't influence people. People spend billions on election advertising because what you say to influence people can potentially work. Republicans like to advertise with shitloads of money and a TV news station dedicated to them for a reason. But when that reason links up to people being dead, they pretend it doesn't work.
