1. Prison labor is slave labor. It's disgusting and shameful.

2. Rudy Giuliani tried a similar plan based on Tommy Thompson's experiment in WI.
Giuliani wanted mothers who received state aid (welfare) to work for the City at or below minimum wage in order to continue receiving benefits. This would prevent many recipients from being able to attend school and training in order to get off welfare as well as displace union workers who had previously performed the same job duties (e.g., picking up garbage in parks, sweeping city property, etc.)

3. Years ago Honda of Ohio was doing the same thing
The non-union Honda workers couldn't complain about it or they would have just been fired. So the UAW had to step in and raise a bag of shit to get them to stop this practice.

4. not quite true ... at least with "slave labor", if you killed an "employee",
you had to pay the "owner" of the "slave" compensation ...

if you kill one of today's employees, to paraphrase a quote from Jay Leno about the cars of old, "You hose the blood off and go on ..."

6. Look for the prison label - when you are buying your coat, dress or blouse...
or landscaping, painting or basic maintenance...

7. Let me tell you what really frightens me
If you own a private prison can you use your prisoners to do your dirty work?

By any means necessary the rich intend to get richer from free labor. In their view slavery by any means is good for them.
