House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) is set to headline a Thursday fundraiser for a left-wing group expected to spend heavily in Wisconsin's recall elections.

The fundraiser for the America Votes Action Fund is set for 5-7 p.m. at a house in downtown Washington, D.C. Those interested in hosting the event will have to fork over $10,000, while sponsors have to kick in $5,000 and patrons $2,500. Individual tickets are $250.

Among the Wisconsin politicians scheduled to appear at the event are U.S. Reps. Ron Kind, Gwen Moore and Tammy Baldwin, all Democrats.

Former House Appropriations Committee Chairman David Obey, another Wisconsin Democrat who retired last year, is also planning to attend the fundraiser, said John Weinfurter, a Wisconsin native who is now a prominent D.C. lobbyist. The party is to be held at Weinfurter's house.

The money is being raised for America Votes Action Fund, which the Wisconsin Democracy Campaign says opposes Republican senators targeted for recall in the state. According to the Democracy Campaign:
