How to turn a 200+ House tsunami into a deficit.
Remember when we heard how that eternally red NY district went blue? At least 200 seats were in "danger" of turning blue come 2012.

All you had to do was say, "Look at those repugs. They signed off on killing Medicare. Now they are lusting after Medicaid and Social Security. They won't be happy until every last penny of yours goes to the rich and powerful. They want only you to shoulder the burden."

Enter the great masterdebater, Mr. Obama. All he has to do is STFU about the three big pillars and merely defend them as sacred cows. And Pow! All those party of no, those teabaggers, those religious wrongies lose.

But NOOOOOOOOOOOO! He's just got to be a shit disturber and help the GOP from their self imposed ELE. Got to bring it up. Got to level the playing field and help his GOP tormentors out of the deep shit they were in with the public, all of their own creation.

3. Just like Clinton
Selling out so that they can retire to a life of big speech fees, book deals, and a massive presidential library. Maybe if he is extra good he can serve on the boards of many companies!

Somehow I don't see the Obama's following Carter's example.

6. I agree with the OP but not with the personal attacks on Obama's motives.

I don't think he's trying to go for cushy post-presidential corporate directorships or the like.

His problem is that he has a sincere commitment to bipartisanship. He sees himself as bridging gaps, bringing people together, etc. Those are all fine ideals, but he's failed to recognize that he's dealing with bullies, crass opportunists, and madmen.

FDR, who also took office at a time of economic crisis, implemented bold moves that antagonized the moneyed classes. They viciously denounced him. Roosevelt's response was to say, "I welcome their hatred."

You just can't picture Barack Obama saying he welcomes anyone's hatred.

I'm not saying that compromise is always wrong. There's such a thing as being too aggressive and adamant, just as there's such a thing as being too conciliatory. It depends on the circumstances. Obama's temperament just isn't a good fit for the situation in which he finds himself.

8. He needs to repay the party of no for screwing over America...
How many people have to commit suicide because they just block everything he does and no help gets to these folks?

When will he say, Boner where are the jobs? You came to power with a plan for jobs you told the voters. Where are the jobs?

Why isn't he boiling them in BP oil for letting America suffer?

They get away with being dickheads because he doesn't put their faces in it.

Why did he tolerate shit like he was born in Kenya for so long? There were assholes in Congress even promoting that.

How many filibusters? How many holds? Do they get sent to Congress to loiter?

Shouldn't the Republican party become extinct for going after the sacred cows? The polls indciate that's what would happen.

Social Security had a 2 trillion dollar surplus and is solvent despite being raided to pay for W.

The Republicans deserve nothing short of extinction for the crap they are pulling everywhere. He should smell the blood.

And for God's sake, ACT LIKE A DEMOCRAT!

7. He wants the corporate money for his own re-election campaign. At this point he's thinking

that as long as he stays a little to the left of Gingrich and Bachmann he'll win.

And sadly, he's right.
