That right-wing Republicans don’t think before they speak is obvious enough to even the marginally sentient. But unfortunately, right-wingers also don’t think before they act; they just pray “real hard” and then interpret whatever sensations result from their neural turmoil as being Jesus speaking to them.

One of the predictable results of Jesus-based policy making is the failure to weigh consequences before deciding to act. If one has deluded himself into believing that all his actions are informed by God and all his decisions are extensions of Jesus’ will on earth, then why would he study the possible ramifications of his decisions or weigh any possible consequences?
