Noted African-American History scholar Michelle Bachmann on slave parenting VS. Obama-era parenting

"No peer-reviewed empirical science or rational demonstration has ever definitively proven, nor has even shown an overwhelming probability that homosexual preference or behavior is irresistible as a function of genetic determination or other forms of fatalism," according to the Christian group.

With her signature, Bachmann seemed to be implicitly agreeing that black children were better off during slavery.

"Slavery had a disastrous impact on African-American families, yet sadly a child born into slavery in 1860 was more likely to be raised by his mother and father in a two-parent household than was an African-American baby born after the election of the USA’s first African-American President," the document said.

"Given that families were broken up regularly for sales during slavery and that rape by masters was pretty common, this could not be more offensive," Jack & Jill Politics' Cheryl Contee noted.

5. There are people who think that all social problems are traceable to out-of-wedlock birth.
Hence, such births (as opposed to direct measures like poverty, unemployment, concrete freedom, etc.) are a key indicator of general social well-being.

7. You're making the mistake of assuming she has a rational point
Words are verbal noises. They have effects on the emotions of primates. Vary your noises until you get the results you want.
Stop looking for a reasoned point and look for emotionally charged buzzwords, and simple errors of logic.

First she's saying that gays aren't born that way (in contradiction to animal, not just human, evidence)
"no...science...has ever proven...homosexual preference..." to be genetic.

Second she's saying there were proportionately more unbroken black families during the slave era than now. This is contradicted by things like many slave "marriages" to be entirely arranged by whites for more bigger stronger black slave babies. Maybe she's right if by "two-parent household" she means the father, the white plantation owner, and the mother, the black slave, living on the same plantation.

And behind this is, of course, the implication that for blacks, a single-parent family is unquestionably inferior, even though this doesn't seem to be true for other races.

They're not stupid lies, they're well-thought-out propagandistic lies.

I thought these dumb fucks were all about the freeeeeeedom! Since when is slavery freeeeeeedom? Maybe it's freedom for someone other than me.

Fuck her, I'm so tired of living in 1984.

10. The pledge she signed is word salad. Not surprising she agrees with it.
Her attention span is like Bush's, about three words long. Her buffer can't parse an entire sentence for meaning. So anything with enough charged buzzwords meets her approval.

11. that "two parent" household being
the white slave owners?

IS SHE JUST F'ING STUPID??? (oh wait...)

The truth of the matter is that families were torn apart. You never knew from one minute to the next who was going to be sold off so the "family unit" didn't really exist except as a temporary structure.

For that matter, women were forced to breed to produce new little slaves without regard to the relationship between the man and the woman. And who can forget the master and the overseers taking their rights as was their due to the pleasure of the woman. Offspring? Well, more $$ or more labor...
