My second Casey Anthony thread . . . about her not being released for another week. |
|
This is PURE SPECULATION and CONJECTURE.
Today we heard the grandparents have received credible death threats.
We know the woman has gotten them.
We also know there are some really, crazily, creepily angry people in the area.
I am betting the judge will release her quietly and early to allow her to escape a mob scene.

Even if you KNOW she did it, I'm sure you're against lynching, which is what would happen with mob justice

I thought the whole 7/19 date was to throw off the dogs who would be gathering at the gates 7/13, then let her out 7/13.

The jury and I apparently saw a different trial entirely. I believe she killed her little girl, that the evidence was there, and I believe karma will take care of Casey.

Am I right to understand that she likes her drugs? If that is the case, I think you'll have your wish. Addictions are a demanding slavemaster.

and there was speculation about drugs - not proven as the drinking was. I would love to hear what the psych people had to say about her, but I don't think we ever will.

born or made? Nature or nurture?
I heard one of the roommates say that Lee came over and talked to them and told them that Casey is a thief and a con artist. Not sure of the time frame.

about Karma, I mean.
Look what happened with OJ.
OK so he's not in prison for the murders, but he's lower than a slug's back leg right now and will likely remain that way the rest of his life.
Casey Anthony will meet her appropriate fate.

15. Actually the jury did not |
|
see as much as you did since they were sent out of the courtroom many times so the judge could "talk" to the lawyers. They also did not see all the media speculation. So you got it right, they saw a completely different trial than you did and none of the media trial and media conviction.

BUT....I did see the evidence put forward by the prosecution and witnesses. That was all I needed to see to form an educated conclusion. I went into watching this case with an open mind 0- not thinking guilt or innocence. Had I been on the jury, I would have hung it for a fare you well!

22. And from my own POV... |
|
I did not want to believe she was guilty.
I tried really really hard not to.
And so, like you, I didn't rely on talking head commentary.
The jury would probably have hated me for not agreeing there was insufficient evidence, for manslaughter anyway, and aggravated child abuse at the VERY least.

They WERE lazy! From the ones I have heard speak, they didn't seem to pay attention either. They say certain things were not proved - when they were proved and the testimony is in the record - had they cared to check! I can understand them wanting for it to be over so they could go home, but to be so lax in their perusal of the ACTUAL evidence is unforgiveable! But again, I do believe that Casey will be held accountable eventually, just as OJ was.

followed the case from day 31, and poured over all the evidence released by ocsd, much of which never was used in trial but more or less would have been too much information. As it was already with what they did put in during the trial. So many witnesses never called, but from the jurors that have talked - they had their minds made up with the opening statements which they were instructed as not to take in as evidence. As with the closing statements. The evidence was there, but they didn't listen after day one of the trial. I hope they rot too.

18. My bestest gal pal and I were just discussing this. |
|
We think that she is in fact getting out on the 13th and the 17th is being used as diversion.
I find it hard to believe that a judge, several attorneys, and the jail supervisor ~~ after a lengthy conference ~~ got it wrong. No mention of any of those parties being called back to court, right? Sooooooooo...the jail on its own countermands what the judge set as the release date?
Ummmmmmmmm....doesn't seem likely.

I heard rumors that she might end up in Puerto Rico or some other out of the way place in order to keep her safe.
But one thing is for certain--they better get her away from the crazies that are Pro-Life....or else she will end up getting killed!

and that had racial overtones. I think she'd be less safe in jail (Where I imagine they'd have to keep her out of the general population) than on the street. She might be unpopular but most celebrities that have gotten off haven't been killed. Of coarse most of them had money. Still you hear people giving her marriage proposals so it's a mixed bag out there. Do you feel better :)

I'll state it another way. As a society I just don't see much evidence we murder people found not guilty in court. Other high profile cases with even uglier overtones did not result in the accused being murdered. I'm not saying it is impossible, but I do believe it is a low probability event based on other recent crimes of the century. Heck people show up at, served only 15 days for vehicular manslaughter, Vince Neil's concerts. We might be a violent society, but apparently not that violent.
On the flip side. Even the Night Stalker got marriage proposals (he eventually married). High profile cases with charismatic accused seem to bring out polar opposite feeling in people. Some people are so empathetic they fall in love with the accused. It's not just Casey Anthony it happens in other cases too. The world is a complex place. She'll have defenders who will protect her and those that threaten to kill her. But past cases seem to point to that she won't be killed by us out here in society. Now had she gone to jail, people convicted of harming children don't do well in jail.
