21. She was one of my heros as a young woman.
Not only did she fight for women's rights, she made it acceptable to admit to alcoholism and get treatment. She, by her actions and campaigning, probably lengthened my mother's life by several years--no joke. My mom went in to treatment because it was finally socially acceptable. Betty Ford made a difference in the world for sure.

25. Awwww... I always liked her.
She inspired a lot of people by speaking out about both her health issue and her addictions. She was a courageous voice and a woman ahead of her time. ;(
