The problem with the Obama-Boehner meetings |
|
1. "Secret". They aren't secret meetings. The press knows full well they are happening or they should.
2. Boehner is useless, to his own party. There are various tales of Boehner making deals only to be usurped by crazed tea-bagger/Fox News/talk-radio fueled members of his own whacked out party reversing everything he has agreed on with a simple statement that is repeated on Fox News (and MSM) or on the floor of the House. Boehner can't control his own people. They are controlled by the latest whim of Fox/blogos/radio.
If Obama wanted to fix this he would have Roger Ailes in there - which, more than the role of bankers, should tell us where we are as a country.

3. Knowing they are happening and knowing what is being negotiated... |
|
are two different things.
So far, the Republican leadership in Congers have held together quite well.
