Consider this concept: "Poor President. (S)he has a haaaard job." |
|
Edited on Fri Jul-08-11 10:31 PM by Stinky The Clown
Free clue: The presidency is a demanding job that owns the officeholder as much as the officeholder owns the office.
Free hint: I think it is fair to say no one runs for the office thinking it will be a cakewalk. Even that lazy fuck, george bush, knew it was a hard job. That's why he hired cheenee to do it for him.
Free suggestion: If you think citing the hardipathy of the presidency is a meaningful reason for me to rally behind the officeholder, you may wish to reconsider as you likely will succeed only in eliciting little more than a disdainful chuckle.
for extra points, play the "find a george bush word" game.

1. I, for one, wouldn't dream of it. |
|
I don't care who rallies around whom. If these past weeks haven't proved that lines have been pretty well drawn, I don't know what will.
When the dust settles and November 2012 rolls around, if people can't do at minimum a reasonable cost-benefit between the D and the R by then, then let the votes fall where they may.

3. You've made the usual mistake, assuming the cut is between D and R |

7. As far as I can see, that assumption is pretty safe. |

2. Agreed. My job is hard too. I knew that getting into it. |
|
If I fuck up, people can die.
I bear a great responsibility...but it also gives me great satisfaction.
When it gets to the point that I can't do it anymore, I will quit and find something that I can do.
But never will I use the fact that it is hard as an excuse to do things the easy way instead of the right way.

Who is asking you to support the president because it is a tough job? One should support the president or not support him based on how well you think he is dealing with the issues that are important to you. Obviously being president of the U.S. is one of the more difficult jobs on earth and most decent folks would understand this and therefore have a little empathy for any president but empathy does not necessarily equate with political support. I don't really get where you are coming from unless maybe you are feeling a little guilty about the very issue you raise.
