6. If there is indeed a Du'er club in the next realm, I guess all of us
Who knew him will get to join.

Life without him has gone on. It is just not as much fun. One day about two years ago, I was playing some tapes of music recorded off the radio, and all of a sudden, his voice was there in my living room, discussing the Black Voting Problem (circa October 2008?) The recording was off of Air America.

It was so very great to hear that voice.

12. Oh, heavens.. that must have been really something...
Time passes so quickly, but somehow grief for the missing always seems like "yesterday"....I'm sorry for your loss... More so, I'm sorry for ALL of our loss of Andy. He was truly special.

21. A few people I have talked to, who knew Andy very well,
Edited on Sat Jul-09-11 02:10 PM by truedelphi
Have called him an "angel."

Which he was. But I couldn't figure out why that grated on me. (It shouldn't - to be called that should be the best of comments.)

I guess in my head I saw the term as not including how wickedly fun he was, and how much power he had.

And one of the many things that is sad about his early demise is that had he lived, he would have been able to befriend countless others, including the many here at Du that helped out but never talked with him or met him.

I also send a hearty 'FUCK YOU - MAY YOU BURN IN HELL' greeting to those who labeled him a scam artist.

5. You have my thanks on that. That was a particularly contemptable group.
I still shudder at the sheer callousness of those who suggested such a thing.

long after the deniers and fraud enablers of both parties are disgraced and forgotten. A plain citizen's unselfish work for justice in his country.

13. Thanks everyone for allowing this thread.
The last conversation we had included his request that he not be forgotten. And, of course, he shall not be. I thank him for entering my life and that of my son. His memory will make us smile as long as we live. :)

17. I still have a hard time coming to terms with
the fact that the delay in the surgery due to those creeps caused his death. What I have a really hard time with is they have no remorse or even believe they killed a man. What gave them the right to stop Pay Pal or contact the hospital. Why did the hospital and pay pal even give credence to them?

27. The ones who tricked PayPal and hospitals to block Andy's medical care...
got away with it, dammit. They have not been named.

Andy's Wikipedia page is gone.

2 of three links on http://verifiedvotingfoundation.org/article.php?id=6105 are dead.

Just about all that remains is this righteous rant on DU: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=104x4049596

In general I don't believe in vengeance -- but, man, if anyone knows who pulled the dirty tricks, I'd like to seem them named. And what have they been up since 2005?

his treatment. But, I won't name him because I can't verify it. Although, you could use google and find the info, if you really wanted it.
