Poll question: Is Marijuana Easy to Come By Where You Live? |
|
I'm long out of the loop when it comes to marijuana. I was a daily smoker in the late 1960s and early 1970s, but quit smoking it in 1974. So, I have no idea what the availability is today. So, DUer's, if you know, you can use this poll to help me, and others like me, understand whether it's a scarce thing or available almost anytime.

1. Are you talking "legal medical" or otherwise? |
|
Seems like there are dispensaries everywhere you look in Colorado now--at least in Denver and other major smaller cities...
I imagine that has driven down prices for the corner trade... though I've not tried. I get "high" just whiffing my neighbor's exhales, as I walk by....;)

So, I guess people will vote based on what they know on their own basis. It's just a general survey.

40. Not so easy in the rest of WA state. Legal dispensaries were shut down by law enforcement |
|
in Thurston and Lewis counties, maybe others. So for folks who have a valid prescription, they have to risk traveling to get it.

In the 70's and 80's, my wife and I knew very few people who didn't smoke pot. It's not much different these days, but people are much more guarded about it. You would probably be surprised in your own neck of the woods about who is secretly smoking pot. ...and yes, it's the old "doctors, lawyers, etc." qualifier.

I've lived in both places.

...because it's the truth. I don't actually know.
However, I live in L.A. County in Southern California, so I have a pretty good guess.

J/K I quit smoking some time ago, but am led to believe it's easy to get.
I know two growers who are complaining about how the price has been plummeting and I think (not positive as I type this) that I saw a billboard advertising a dispensary in the SF Bay Area in the past week.
But that's Northern California, for ya.

it is available all over the place. I am with you, used it in my youth but don't bother anymore. And now, I would be afraid to try to buy it expecting anyone I ask to be a cop and everyone who isn't a cop to think I am one.

20. well, if you know people... |
|
it's the usual, 'stoner's rule' if you know someone, it's not too hard to come by...
what sucks us when you have a regular person who decides to move or quit, and then you have to figure out who else you can hit up. and I hate it when friends think I only want to talk to them because you want to 'hook up'...lol or maybe that's just my personal paranoia!
I'm in CA and our little town has 3 dispensaries. i wish I "could" go and just get a card and be done with it. problem is, being on welfare or food stamps makes me nervous. i don;t want my name on that list in case they decide to use it against me. I have chronic debilitating arthritis, and it allows me to function on a really normal basis...but try explaining that to your social worker :(

It can be easy to find if you know the right people and this week I, apparently do not. Fuck it says me. I am tired of supporting the blackmarket thugs and local dope dealers who spend their profits on Xanax and trips to the Las Vegas casinos. I just dropped 30 seeds into dirt and watered them in. I am growing again for the first time in 6 years. Ask me this quetion again this time next year.

that today's dope is so much more potent than we had back then. That's bullshit. The indoor stuff they grow today is crap IMO. No comparison. I'd rather have good old seeded Panama Red from the spring of 1970 than anything in the dispensary today.
