Where would we be if we hadn't lost the House?
Further in debt or with a growing economy? Businesses in trouble or investing in more equipment and hiring?

1. Instead of blaming our lack of progress on the repubs in the House...
we would still be blaming our lack of progress on repubs in the Senate threatening filibusters.

3. You know, you're right! I'd forgotten that. HOW could I forget?
What a bunch of assholes. Senate AND House.

2. I would LIKE to think we'd be doing better, even though we let
a lot slip through our fingers when we DID have it.

What do you think?

9. What do I think?
I think we would be further ahead on both the economy and jobs.

I think by hook or by crook, there would be more concentration on infrastructure and green jobs.

I think Obama would blow the Repugs out of the water with his vision and energy.

I think there would be less Democrats growling about how Obama is doing and more new Democrats ready to vote Obama in for another term.

I think Obama wouldn't have so many gray hairs and wrinkles. Bless his heart.

4. The Democratic-controlled Congress would be working on the deficit and entitlements
based on the Catfood Commission findings and recommendations

There is Always, Always, ALWAYS some excuse. No matter what, the excuses will always favor the corporatist.

11. I disagree
There were several very big moves made. Our problem was that it wasn't blue enough and now the damn thing has turned red.

Obama will be re-elected and if the house turns a bright and shiny blue, the world will be changed.

8. Recall that before the House was lost, Dems had control of all three -
White House, Senate, and the House.

I don't think ALL of our woes happened since the swearing in this past January, do you?

12. I think Obama should have moved healthcare reform further down the list.
But then, if they hadn't had that to bitch about, it would have been something else.

15. We would have had to keep the house and
gained a super majority in the Senate. Remember our majority rule is warped.
