I had to look at the anti-abortion nuts in court in a civil case in 1992 -- started with protests at the Repub National Convention in Houston then with a temporary injunction hearing -- and it went to trial in 1994. That was traumatic.

They incite violence and then disown the rhetoric.

One local anti-abortion leader, Don Treshman, was asked on the witness stand, "Do you condemn or condone the murder of Dr. David Gunn?"
He replied, "We neither condemn nor condone it."

I saw the jury sort of sliding into the floor in shock.

The trial judge lost her seat in the next election over that trial. That bench is now held by a white male right-winger who is anti-abortion and posts the ten commandments in his court room until he is ordered to take them down.
