Bush Looking Worse With Passage of Time
We were told that time would make George Bush look good, but there's no evidence of that happening. In fact Bush looks more of a phony today than he did ten years ago. Remember the Crawford "ranch"? It was never more than a prop, and Bush couldn't wait to dump it. But the ever-compliant media went along with the act, claiming that Bush actually "cleared brush" there.

This is from Time Magazine's 2000 Man of the Year cover story:

It's easy to be unimpressed by George W. Bush's Crawford, Texas ranch. Unlike Reagan's spectacular Rancho del Cielo or LBJ's Hill Country spread, casa W sits on 1,600 acres of brown, minimalist landscape that looks like those planets they were always beaming down to in "Star Trek."

But there's a beauty here that isn't readily apparent, one that Bush desperately wants you to see, and to know his deep bond with this place is gain a special insight into the man. The ranch, just 23 miles southwest of Waco, is Bush's sanctuary; he spent nearly every weekend of the campaign there, and prepared for the debates in its remote two-room cottage.

The ranch is unimpressive. So is Bush.

1. Yeah, his "deep bond" with a place he bought during the election, and dumped immediately
after he left office.

Such an asshole. Such a fake.

9. bingo .... deep bond w/ the place? please
the cattle were rentals, he was a afraid of horses, and Laura had the manure trucked away rather spread on the
hay fields ..... enron bought and built the place prior to the 2000 election to show bush's texas roots.

If we had a media worth a crap eveybody would have known that W was no rancher and that the place was for
photo ops.

4. 40, 40-acre plots scooped up in a single deal.
Not only Bush...anyone who "owns" 1600 acres is an asshole.

13. I seriously doubt it.
He's the same spoiled, insulated, privileged, patrician brat he was born & all evidence indicates he has and will continue to get a free pass for the rivers of blood he shed in his foreign wars, & the economic chaos and constitutional rape he fostered & presided over at home during his 2 horrible terms. Maybe one day in the future an historian may document the truth but Bush will probably die peacefully in his own bed, super-wealthy, without a conscience or remorse & unprosecuted.

8. I know it's too much to hope that the media will be exposed & shamed for their part
in the international disaster that was the Bush presidency.
But I'm still hopeful.

18. He now lives in a $3 million house in Dallas.
He and Laura bought the Dallas house in December of 2008, just one month before he left office.

He rarely visits the "ranch" now.

He bought the "ranch" in 1999, just before he announced he was a candidate for President.

The "ranch" was always a prop.
