26. Nahhh....
You're not the only one.

We live in a regular house and Mr Pip has been at me for 15 years to let him put pink flamingos out in his little garden pond.

We live in New England. The closest thing we have to pink flamingos here are blue herons. I may give in to his wishes if the herons keep coming back and eating our frogs. Maybe the flamingos will scare away the herons. The plastic floating alligator head sure isn't doing it.

56. Beautiful pond. Poor alligator looks dead right now.
But then again, I have seen alligators who look dead just laying there. I would love to have that much room and nature around me. Consider yourself lucky, even if the pesky heron eats your frogs. Herons gotta eat too. But pink flamingoes, they will not bother your frogs! I can envision a couple of pink flamingoes now, tormenting the alligator.

Herons gotta eat, and so do the river otters that come up and dine on my fish. And the coyotes who eat cats and deer and other critters.

It makes me sad, but they can't shop down at the grocery store in town.

Everything is something else's food.

My sisters are relently in making fun of me, and they are always buying me pink flamingo items---pajamas, a sun-catcher for the window, a beanie baby, lawn ornaments (always the ones that really are tacky with spinning wings or that bob around). It has become a joke, but I am glad that I have company.

Thus raising it to the supreme level of tackiness.

But it ain't REALLY tacky until the Bradford Exchange turns it into a clock!

There are galleries dedicated to well executed cheesy pop art representing the dreck of celebrity worship, well attended by ironic hipsters drinking Pabst Blue Ribbon. (http://www.laluzdejesus.com/)

Do you think this is Paris or New York or something?

Oh that is bad...baaaad! I was driving down La Brea yesterday and saw the big sign on Pink's Chili Dog stand "Welcome Will & Kate." I dunno -- can't picture her really digging into one of those Pink's dogs! Or eating food at all, actually....

37. I like it..
I mean if it's a joke on how ridiculous all the focus and attention is on these two then it's pointing it out real well.

How many children died of starvation the day they were married? How much more of the ocean was poisoned that day? How much forest was leveled, how many mountains were flattened for coal, how many animals went extinct, etc etc etc?

I do understand why it's much nicer to think of whatever CNN tells us is "news".. news for CLOWNS!! :P }( :+

And Mencken died in '56; I could have quoted WC Brann (1855-1898) just as well ("Willy Wally to Wed"), but he's not as well known.

be laughing all the way to the bank. You can
mock those two poor sweet kids all you want,
but a crate of royal condoms is nothing to sneeze at.

It would take a while to dissect, but an art historian with knowledge of european secret societies and the monarchy could probably ramble on quite a bit.

68. Why is Dianna pointing a laser at his head? lol
It looks as though the proceeds are going to charity. That's nice. It's very kitschy. Plenty of people like that kind of tongue-in-cheeky kind of thing. I find a lot of modern art to be pretentious and horribly tedious. I'd rather have this painting. At least it's good for a laugh and some fun conversation.

They noticed that the "last supper"'they got us was on the wall, and then on closer inspection noticed the title I had added to it - "separate checks please." they were unamused. But the paintings stopped.

I like the holy water wall sconce however. I nailed it by my desk and use it for paperclips.
