Shared Pain and Sacrifice?
IF we cut the benefit of someone on Medicaid or Medicare or Social Security by the cost of living index or more, is it equal to raising the tax rate by 3% on the millionaires and billionaires? Do they experience equal pain and sacrifice? I think not.

But the politicians keep saying that we must have "shared sacrifice" and pain?

Even someone making $50-$100K per year would not share the same pain if their taxes went up by 3% to 5%, as would someone making about $14K per year, as is the case with a lot of Americans.

So let's kick this can off the road and into the cupboard and let it wash into the nearest river with the next big rain, along with all the other trash.

1. We're coming up on an election year. Time for more audacity© and change we can believe in©.
It's all marketing, and it's all bullshit. Keep money in the pockets of the rich and you hold onto power. It's that simple.

5. The bullshit runs so deep in this country it's amazing there's enough air
left to breath. I'm just amazed anyone believes the crap these politicians lay on the citizenry. Any thinking these BS'ing politicians live in the same world as we do really are not paying attention. Some are OK, but most IMO are just BS artists for their keepers to benefit their keepers and screw "we the people."

2. Why don't we limit Congresses COLAs to the same as SS's COLA? How about we make the Congress
retirement be Social Security? Why should they get platinum packages and cut our crumbs?

3. I think 30 fucking years of stagnant pay for longer working hrs has been pain & sacrifice enuff
Edited on Sun Jul-10-11 04:49 PM by kenny blankenship
The average American worker and family deserves a LOT better from "Democratic" leaders than to hear their scolding demands for more PAIN & SACRIFICE.

You made us work harder and harder, you sent our kids to war and billed us for it. You sent our jobs overseas. You gave our money to Wall St. Now you want to fuck with the Social Safety net, too?

Oh FUCK YOU.

4. Let's share pain and sacrifice in direct proportion to the number of dollars we have...
