It's a good lesson for them... they'll be more hungry to win in the future.

It's funny how the US women are the best in the world at soccer/football yet the men suck on the world stage.

5. I've always wondered why but
the girls play more soccer in school than the boys.
That said, male soccer in the US is improving.

6. Do you think it may have something to do w/the fact the best male athletes go into other sports?
Not to mention the US system of nurturing male soccer talent is considered to be poor at developing skills compared to, say, the Dutch system (which has been adopted by Spain).

7. Lots of factors
Socialization, parental, peer and media pressure and the US salaries of other pro sport. Lots of Americans hate soccer and pass on that hate - they belittle a great sport.
